Age Verification

No person under the age of 18 may use the Services, appear in Content, or be depicted in Content in any form, real or synthetic. Age is checked twice: once when you register, and again — properly, by a specialist provider — before you can reach restricted Content, subscribe, or complete any purchase. This Policy tells you exactly how that works, what we keep, and what we choose not to keep.

1. Purpose & Scope

This Age Verification & Restricted Content Policy (this “Policy”) is issued by Flower Puss Pty Ltd (ABN 93 684 368 401) (“Flower Puss”, “we”, “us”, “our”). Flower Puss is the only contracting party for the Services.

This Policy applies to everyone who accesses or uses the Services — Members, Creators and visitors alike. It sits alongside our Terms of Service, Acceptable Use Policy, Content & Community Guidelines, Creator Agreement and Privacy Policy. Using the Services means you accept this Policy.

Where this Policy describes a check, that check is ours to run and ours to enforce. We do not pass responsibility for it to you or to a third party.

2. Definitions

ServicesThe Flower Puss websites, applications and related services operated by Flower Puss Pty Ltd.
MemberAn adult who registers an account to view, subscribe to or purchase Content.
CreatorAn adult who is verified to publish Content and to supply that Content to Flower Puss for sale.
ContentAny image, video, audio, livestream, text or digital asset published on the Services.
Restricted ContentAdult Content, and any Content we classify as suitable only for verified adults.
Age assuranceAn independent check that establishes you are 18 or over, performed by a specialist provider, not by you telling us your date of birth.
Payment areaAny part of the Services where you subscribe, unlock Content, tip a Creator, or complete any other purchase.
Identity verificationThe fuller check applied to Creators: government-issued identification, a liveness check, proof of age, and screening.

3. The 18+ Rule

You must be 18 years or older to use the Services. There are no exceptions and there is no variation by country. If the age of majority where you live is higher than 18, you must also meet that age.

The same rule applies to everyone: Members, Creators, and every person who appears in Content.

⚠ Under 18?

Leave the Services now. Do not register, do not attempt to verify, and do not use anyone else’s identity or account. Attempting to access the Services as a minor, or helping a minor to do so, is a serious breach. We remove the account, and we report the matter where the law requires us to.

4. Layer One — The Gate at Registration

The first layer is a mandatory 18+ gate. You cannot create an account without passing it.

4.1 What you do at registration

  • You confirm that you are 18 years or older.
  • You accept this Policy and our Terms of Service.
  • You choose, separately, whether to receive marketing. Age, terms and marketing are three separate controls. Marketing is never bundled with the other two and is never pre-ticked.

Each of those controls is recorded as a discrete, auditable consent record — with a timestamp and the exact version and wording you accepted. See our Privacy Policy for what that record contains.

4.2 What layer one is, and is not

Layer one is a declaration you make and a set of terms you accept. It is not proof of age. On its own it does not give you access to Restricted Content and it does not let you spend money. It gates registration only.

We treat a false declaration as a breach of this Policy in its own right, whatever else happens later.

5. Layer Two — Age Assurance Before Access or Payment

The second layer is real age assurance, carried out by a specialist provider. It must be completed before you can do any of the following:

  • view or unlock Restricted Content;
  • subscribe to a Creator; or
  • reach any payment area.

5.1 Verified before any purchase completes

No purchase completes on an unverified account. If you have not passed age assurance, the payment area is closed to you; if your verified status lapses or is withdrawn, it closes again. This is a hard block in the flow, not a warning you can click past.

Every purchase on the Services is paid for individually at the time it is made. Generating a payment request counts as reaching a payment area, and it is gated the same way. Our Refund & Cancellation Policy explains how the balance works and how remedies are given.

5.2 What the check involves

  • You are handed to a specialist age-assurance provider from within the Services.
  • You complete the provider’s check with the provider. The available methods are set by the provider and shown to you at the time.
  • The provider returns a result to us: verified 18 or over, or not verified.
  • If the result is “not verified”, access to Restricted Content and to the payment area stays closed. You may try again, and you may contact us if you believe the result is wrong.

5.3 Re-checks

We may require you to complete age assurance again — for example where a check has expired, where an account shows signs of being shared or sold, or where we receive a report that the account holder is under 18. While a re-check is outstanding, Restricted Content and the payment area are closed to that account.

6. What We Store, and What We Do Not

For Member age assurance, Flower Puss stores only the result of the check. That is the whole record:

What we hold Why we hold it
Verified-18-plus flag To decide whether an account may reach Restricted Content and the payment area.
Provider To identify who performed the check.
Timestamp To show when the check was completed and whether it is current.
Reference The provider’s reference for the check, so a result can be traced or re-examined.
Country To apply the eligibility rules in section 10.
User ID To attach the result to the right account.

6.1 What we do not hold

We do not store your identity documents. We do not store facial images. No copy of your passport, licence or other identification is kept in the Flower Puss systems for Member age assurance, and neither is any selfie, video or biometric template used during the check.

Why this is better for you

We cannot lose, leak or be compelled to hand over documents we never held. Holding a library of identity documents would make us worth attacking; holding a yes-or-no flag does not. It also means a request to see or delete “your ID” has a short and honest answer: we do not have it. What the provider holds, and for how long, is governed by that provider’s own terms, which are shown to you before you start the check.

6.2 How the result is used

The result is used to run the gate and to evidence that the gate was run. It is not used for advertising and it is not sold. How long we keep it, and how you exercise your access and correction rights, is set out in our Privacy Policy. Some records must be retained by law even after an account is closed, and that Policy says which.

7. Creator Identity Verification

Creator verification is a different and heavier check than Member age assurance. Do not read the two as the same thing. A Creator supplies Content to Flower Puss and is paid for it, so we must know who the Creator is — not merely that they are an adult.

7.1 What is required before a Creator may publish or be paid

  • Government-issued identification — collected and validated through a specialist provider.
  • Liveness check — confirming that the person presenting the identification is the person it belongs to, and is present.
  • Proof of age — confirming the Creator is 18 or over.
  • AML and sanctions screening — screening against recognised sanctions and watchlists, and the anti-money-laundering checks appropriate to the risk of the account.

No Content may be published and no payout may be made until these are complete. We may require re-verification at any time, and we may withhold publication or payout while a re-verification is outstanding.

7.2 Records

  • Creator verification and screening records are retained as compliance evidence and are available for lawful review by regulators, law enforcement and our compliance partners.
  • They are retained for as long as the law and our compliance obligations require, and are held under the controls described in our Privacy Policy.
  • Creators must keep their identity, age, tax and payout details accurate and current. The full obligations are in the Creator Agreement.
  • Providing false, stolen or borrowed identity information ends the account immediately, funds held are withheld pending review, and the matter is reported where the law requires.

8. Verification of Depicted Persons

Everyone who appears in Content must be an adult, and their age and consent must be documented.

  • Every identifiable person in Content must either be a verified Creator, or be covered by an age-and-consent record held by the publishing Creator.
  • Creators must retain those records — including signed releases — and produce them to us on request.
  • Content depicting a person whose age or consent cannot be substantiated is removed and stays removed until it can be.
  • Content that depicts, or is presented as depicting, a person under 18 is prohibited absolutely. See section 12.

9. Age-Gating & Restricted Content

Restricted Content sits behind an access control. It is not shown to visitors who are not signed in, and it is not shown to accounts that have not completed layer two.

  • Content is classified and tagged so that gating is applied consistently.
  • Previews, thumbnails and search results are constrained so that Restricted Content is not exposed outside the gate.
  • Warnings are applied to sensitive categories where that is appropriate.
  • Monetised Content is only available behind the gate and only to a verified adult account.

Sharing your account, your credentials, or gated material with anyone else — and in particular with a minor — is a breach of this Policy and of the Terms of Service.

10. Where We Offer the Services

We do not offer the Services everywhere. This is a decision about where we operate, taken as a consequence of our payment arrangements. It is not a statement about the law of any country and it is not a comment on whether adult Content is lawful where you live.

10.1 The restriction

You cannot use the Services if you are a resident or a citizen of:

  • the European Union;
  • the United Kingdom; or
  • the United States of America.

This applies to Members and Creators alike. Both residence and citizenship are checked — holding citizenship of an excluded country makes you ineligible even if you live somewhere else, and living in an excluded country makes you ineligible even if you are a citizen elsewhere.

10.2 How it is applied

  • Country and citizenship are collected and checked at signup, before an account is opened.
  • Country is also carried on the age-assurance result, and is checked again when you reach the payment area.
  • We re-check when your details change, and we may re-check at any time.
  • Enforcement is ours. We apply this restriction ourselves. We do not put it on a payment provider to police and we do not treat your declaration as the end of the matter.

10.3 If you are ineligible

  • Registration is refused. If ineligibility is discovered later, the account is closed.
  • For a Member, any amounts owed either way are dealt with under the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
  • For a Creator, publishing stops and earnings are dealt with under the Creator Agreement.
  • Using a VPN, a proxy, a false address, another person’s identity or any other means to get around this restriction is a breach of this Policy. Accounts found doing so are closed.

We may change the list of countries where the Services are offered. If we do, we will update this Policy and tell affected account holders.

11. AI-Generated & Synthetic Content

  • Synthetic Content must never depict, resemble, or be capable of being presented as, a person under 18.
  • Synthetic Content must not replicate the likeness of a real, identifiable person without documented rights or permission.
  • Every age and prohibited-content standard that applies to Content made with a camera applies identically to computer-generated imagery, cartoons, animation, simulation and AI-generated material.

The full prohibitions are in our Acceptable Use Policy and Content & Community Guidelines.

12. Enforcement & Reporting

12.1 What we do

  • Any Content involving, depicting or implying a minor is removed, preserved as the law requires, and reported to the relevant authorities. There is no discretion in this and no appeal ladder before it happens.
  • Reports of suspected minors, non-consensual intimate imagery, or illegal activity are the highest priority and are actioned without delay.
  • An account that misrepresents age is closed. Where the account holder is a minor, we close the account and handle the data as the law requires.
  • An account that defeats or attempts to defeat age assurance or the eligibility rules is closed.
  • Where a Creator is involved, payouts are held pending review and may be withheld or recovered.

12.2 How to report a concern

  • Use the in-platform reporting tools, or write to support@flowerpuss.global.
  • Urgent safety reports are prioritised immediately and actioned without delay.
  • If you are not satisfied with how we handle a content or safety matter, you can raise it with the eSafety Commissioner under the Online Safety Act 2021 (Cth).
  • If your concern is about how we handle your personal information, you can raise it with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).

You can appeal an enforcement decision that affects your account, other than a decision taken on Content involving a minor. Appeals are reviewed by the Trust, Safety & Compliance team.

13. Governance & Contact

This Policy is owned and maintained by the Flower Puss Trust, Safety & Compliance team. We review it at least annually, and whenever there is a material change to the law, to our payment arrangements, or to how verification works. If we change it, we publish the new version with a new version number and a new last-updated date. Continuing to use the Services after that means you accept the change.

We name our verification providers once each is confirmed and integrated. Until then we describe what is required rather than who performs it.
